Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) Events

In addition to science fiction conventions, we also sell at events of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) and similar medieval reenactment events. Because they are generally held outdoors, we have sales structures we can bring to provide temporary shelter for our wares. At longer events (three or more days) we can bring a 10x20 steel-frame canopy with zippered doors.

For one and two day events, we also have two EZup canopies that can be put up quickly and easily. These are also useful at very hot events at which the larger structure would be difficult to set up and would trap too much heat for people to shop comfortably.

We also can set up at indoor events. In this case, our setup differs from that we do at science fiction conventions primarily in the different merchandise we bring to the event. In particular, we have a number of nonfiction books that are specifically focused on the history and lifeways of the Middle Ages. We also will bring primarily fantasy fiction and exclude science fiction works, with the exception of a few that are dealing with societies specifically created by medieval reenacters wanting to reconstruct medieval society on another world.

We also will bring several kinds of ceramic figurines that may be of interest to SCAdians, including fairies, wizards and dragons.
